Programs and offerings of the foundation

We will start visiting schools and groups in 2010, speaking about the decisions that affect a life.  We will be talking about the relationships between friends, the tools that we need to support one another, to protect one another.  Call us for a schedule of events or if you want a speaker.

Friends of Lamar at Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn and UAB have offered to start groups on their campuses for helping friends help friends. We will hold fundraisers to gather people together, have a good time, and communicate the message of our foundation.

We will offer Peer to Peer exchanges, talks by Lamar’s friends about what happened, what they have learned, and what they want everyone else to understand about a tragedy like this. These will be held at middle schools, high schools and on college campuses, as well as at church groups and any other group involving children of this age.

We will offer several ways to contact us for advice. The easiest, email us.  You can submit a question for review, requesting feedback from either a peer, expert/doctor, older peer (big brother or sister type), or parent. This question will be submitted to our organization for review, one of our volunteers will respond to the question submitted via forum board. There will also be availability of direct feedback, rather than posted, to protect the identity of the individual submitting the question. All identities will be protected, we will not use names. But we will use the questions to teach others.
